This is a series of real photo postcards produced by the Rotary Photo Co., UK. They were printed in 1910, with a second printing in 1911.
Series Contents: There are 24 cards, numbered on the front. Cards 1-12 are in Style A which is plain with a narrow white margin. Cards 13-24 are in Style E which has a wider margin and the image impressed.

Date printed: The first printing was requested by letter to the Rotary Photo Co on 14 June 1910. The cards were invoiced to Walch’s by the London agent on 29 July, 1910. Allowing 5 weeks for shipping they would have reached Hobart in mid-September, 1910. The second printing was requested by a letter dated 18 January, 1911.
Printing: The cards were produced by a high speed photographic printing system incorporating a traditional wet photographic process.
Number in Series: 24
Identification: The imprint on the back is “Printed in England for J. Walch & Sons, Hobart.” The card number, as per the list above, is on the front, to the left of the caption. There does not seem to be any way to distinguish cards of the first printing from the second.
History of the Series
Walch’s London agent, Herbert Bishop, wrote to the Rotary Photo Co. on 14 June, 1910:
The order is made up from the Sample Book you supplied us with in January last.
