Tasmanian cards within Rose's P series fall into two groups; P.12300 - P.12716 and P.123100 - P.123178. The latter group appears to be from the cards that Rose purchased from the Launceston photographers Stephen Spurling in 1941.
All the cards are photographic prints, made at the Rose premised at Armadale, Victoria. The date of manufacture is between 1945 and 1960, judging by postmark usage dates.
There are a few modern reprints, made by printing press and not photographically produced, which have the same card number as the original photographic cards. For example, see P.123160. These have a modern back with barcode.
