Manufacture:  Printed at the Ash Bester Studio, 102 Elizabeth St., Hobart, on standard Kodak postcard paper. Date of photograph late 1949 or early 1950.

Usage: Unused

The hotel was built in 1949-1950,  A newspaper item  before opening said the bar would open on 16 September 1949, and accommodation would be available in November.  The hotel was offered for sale almost as soon as it was opened ; a sale advertisement in The Mercury on 7 January 1950 described it as new, with the gardens just then being laid out. In this photo the site still has construction debris of drums and pallets, and there are builders hoists in place, so it is confidently dated as late 1949 or early 1950
