Manufacture:  Printed at the Ash Bester Studio, 102 Elizabeth St., Hobart, on standard Kodak postcard paper. Date produced about 1950.

Usage: Used. Stamp removed.  Apparently posted in Melbourne. Postmarked on receipt in USA April 17 1959.  The message says:

Melbourne April 14. 

Dear Winifred

Your nice card to Sydney reached me here yesterday. When I returned from a side trip to Tasmania where we visited the old convict settlement and saw this church they built there. It is certainly a beautiful island. Now I'm going to New Zealand then back to Sydney in a change of order and date. Home June 25 as now planned.
