About the publisher

The Ross Series of postcards of King Island were published by L.C. Ross (Leslie Cameron Ross, d. 1956) who was a prominent citizen and storekeeper at Currie, King Island.  He was on the Council twice, as Warden in 1955, and was also Harbourmaster at one period. His store was in the main street of Currie, where it “sold nearly everything”. The advertisement below is from the  King Island News of 16 February 1938.
